Dogs Available for Adoption

Sky II

Status: Available for Adoption

Sky was found as a stray, emaciated, and so sick she couldn’t leave a shelter. When she finally got to go to a foster family, she got a fever and is now being hospitalized for pneumonia. Help us get Sky the medical care she needs and any additional funds will go to helping other dogs like her!

Domino

Status: Available for Adoption

Urgent! We’re looking for a foster home for Domino, a two year old Dalmatian. He’s Deaf and a little nervous of people at first, but is very sweet and friendly once he’s gotten to know them. He’d be best as an only dog in a household, and he’d have a yard to run around in on his wish list. Plus, he gets along great with kids! If you could be a foster for Domino, please reach out to us at Info@SaveTheDals.org.

Perdita

Status: Available for Adoption

FOSTER needed while awaiting adoption. Fostering is also a great way to see if a dog is the right one for you to permanently adopt.

Meet Perdita, a 8 year young senior lady who loves to keep in shape by swimming. She is a proper lady who is housebroken, non-destructive, walks nicely on a leash, and has basic obedience. Although she does sometimes get jumpy when very excited, however she is easily redirected. She is not much of a barker, but she is a good communicator and will give a little whine when she is in need of some loving attention.

She is currently with a wonderful trainer who took time out of her schedule to get her from the local city animal shelter, and is caring for “Perdy” for a little while for us in Arizona while we search for a foster and her forever adoption home.

Perdita is ready for a home to call her own and looking for that special someone or family that will give her the wonderful life she deserves.

Perdita loves people, young and old, big and small. Friendly with other dogs with proper slow introduction. Not recommended with small animals or livestock.

She is a very affectionate outgoing socially well adapted turn-key dog. She has been spayed, vaccinated and microchipped. Ready to be adopted today.

If you are interested in learning more about Perdita contact us at info@savethedals.org .

Stoney

Status: Available for Adoption

I’m Stoney, I’m a Dal-Heeler mix, and I’m 2 years old, and I LOVE other dogs.  My best friend is Devy here in boarding.  I am very athletic, and would be a great service or therapy dog.  I’m currently living in SoCal.

Scout

Status: Available for Adoption

I’m Scout, and I’m 3 a year-old Dalmatian.  I’m super sweet, love people and other dogs, and I basically want to be a lap dog.  I’m sad because I have to leave the only family I’ve ever known, but I’m a bit too rambunctious for the new Human baby in the house.  I am deaf, but I know modified sign language.  I currently live in Massachusetts.

Ophelia

Status: Available for Adoption

Meet lovely senior lady Ophelia, about 10 years old. She is currently with a wonderful trainer who took time out of her schedule to go get her from the local city animal shelter, and is caring for “Phee” for a little while for us in Arizona.

Ophelia is ready for a home to call her own and looking for that special someone or family that will give her the wonderful life she deserves.

Ophelia is a very quiet, mellow girl who just wants nothing more than for you you to hold her head, pet her ears and love her unconditionally as she will love you the same. She will enjoy a leisurely stroll around your neighborhood and parks. Ophelia is a joy to stroll with as she walks beautifully on a leash.

Ophelia also enjoys water, she will swim a bit, but not a strong swimmer. She much prefers to hang out on the steps and blow bubbles in the water.

This sweet girl can be shy meeting new people but once she understands that someone is a friend and won’t hurt her she becomes an outhoing buddy.

“Phee” has had some basic training. She will sit and shake hands with her paw, especially for a yummy treat. Loves a good chew bone. She is not destructive, and graces the beauty of any home with quiet calmness. A zen buddy!

She is dog friendly when introduced properly and slowly, otherwise she can be defensive at first. When on a leash she is reactivite seeing other dogs, giving a low growl however settles easily and quickly.

Good with small animals and okay with livestock.

“Phee” is ready for a home today. She has been spayed, vaccinated and microchipped.

If you are interested in learning more about Ophelia contact us at info@savethedals.org .

Toby Emmet

Status: Available for Adoption

Hi! My name is Emmet and I’m in San Diego now and looking for my furever home. I am 8 months old, and a shepherd-lab mix.  Aren’t I gorgeous? Check out my AMAZING eyes… I really want a nice home.  Boarding life isn’t for me. I’m young and I want a family to hang out with. I get along with other dogs, and I like to play gently. I’m not a rough guy. If you’d like to find out more about me please reach out to the folks at Save the Dals.

Tori

Status: Available for Adoption

Tori is a 7 year old Dalmatian living near Cleveland, Ohio who needs a new adoptive or foster home. She’s very friendly, loves getting attention from people, and gets along with other animals. But she’s not so great with small children. She is on medication to manage to epilepsy and hasn’t had a seizure since going on her medication. Other that that, she’s a sweet, friendly girl. If you’re interested in becoming her new best friend, visit SaveTheDals.org!

Koda

Status: Available for Adoption

I’m Koda, and I’m Dal-Border Collie.  I’m also about 4 years old.  I was left behind in an empty apartment when my owner moved.  Thankfully, neighbors came to my rescue, and they called Save the Dals to help me.  I’ve been pretty scared with all that has happened, but I’m warming up and starting to enjoy being around the other dogs at the sanctuary, and I like the people here.  Still, I’d prefer to have a home of my own.

Marni

Status: Available for Adoption

I’m Marni, I’m a Dal-Dane mix, and I’m about 9 months old.  My sister and I were strays, so after we went to the shelter, a wonderful sanctuary picked us up here in Texas.  The sanctuary is working with the kind folks at Save the Dals to find us homes.  Well, find me a home, as my sister got adopted right away.  I’m super sweet, gentle, and I love everyone: people, dogs, cats, kids.

Freddy

Status: Available for Adoption

Freddy is 4 years old and weighs 11 pounds. He is a happy, energetic little dog. Fredd can sometimes be a little nervous when he meets new people, but he warms up to people quickly once he knows them. He can sometimes be protective of his food and that is why we are are recommending no children. His new family will need to be patient with him, but he will be worth it!

Jed

Status: Available for Adoption

Jed is 3 years old and weighs 12 pounds. He was extremely shy when we first got him out of a local shelter but he has now decided that people are OK! The first thing he does when he meets you is roll over on his back so he can get a belly rub. Jed loves other dogs and is a very sweet little boy.

Julian

Status: Available for Adoption

Julian is 2 years old and weighs 42 pounds. He is very sweet and craves attention. He is also a very active dog and will require a home with an active family that will make sure he gets plenty of exercise and play time. Julian has gotten along with the dogs he has met. When he saw a cat, he wanted to chase it, so probably no cats for this boy!

Macy

Status: Available for Adoption

Macy is a year old and weighs 13 pounds. This adorable little girl is still very young and has a lot of puppy in her. She is very active and loves to play. An active home and/or children to play with her would be ideal. She would be awesome doing agility! She is good with other dogs. Not sure about cats but would probably like to chase them!

Charley

Status: Available for Adoption

Charley is 3 years old and weighs 16 pounds. He is a nice dog and gets along with other dogs. He is food possessive around other dogs but not people, so will need to be fed separately if you have another dog. Charley is very playful and loves his toys! He has not been around any cats. He will be a great addition to any family.

Oreo

Status: Available for Adoption

Oreo is a year old and weighs 80 lbs. He gets along well with other dogs and loves people. He is always seeking love and attention. He knows how to walk on a leash but is a big, strong boy and could use some training so that he learns to walk where you want to go and not pull so much. He may not be suited for a home with smaller children because of his size and he may knock them down with his enthusiasm!

Lucky

Status: Available for Adoption

Lucky is 6 mos old and weighs 35 pounds. He is deaf so will require a home that is experienced with deaf dogs or is willing to take time to train him and themselves! He is a beautiful boy with one blue and one brown eye. He is housebroken and walks well on leash. Lucky is good with other dogs but we don’t know if he has been around cats. He likes children but would be best with older children since he is deaf.

Barry

Status: Available for Adoption

Barry is 18 months old and weighs 35 pounds. Barry is a good boy. He loves people and has a playful personality. He is also a love bug! He walks well on leash. We don’t know how he is with cats. Barry would love a family that will take him for walks and spend time with him. He is the perfect size to sit on the couch or go for a hike.

Iggy

Status: Available for Adoption

Iggy is 18 months old and weighs 79 pounds. We rescued him out of a shelter who described him as “a big goofy bundle of love.” Iggy is sweet and affectionate and wants to please. He is gentle and has good manners even though he is still young. He knows how to catch treats in the air and we have video of him doing that! He likes car rides and is great in the car. Iggy loves other dogs and loves to play and wrestle with them, so another dog in the home would be great but not necessary. Iggy will make a great family dog.

Daisy & Sadie

Status: Available for Adoption

Daisy is two years old and weighs 45 pounds. She and Sadie came to us one night when they were running down a busy road and Daisy actually got hit by a car. Thankfully her injuries were not severe she is fully recovered. Unfortunately, we were never able to locate their owners. Daisy has a calm and gentle personality. She is crate trained, dog social and knows how to use a doggy door. She is doing OK on leash but she needs to learn a little bit more to be the perfect dog. Daisy and Sadie are very bonded and will need to be adopted together. No exceptions.

Sadie is 18 months old and weighs 45 pounds. She came to us when she and Daisy were running down a very busy road. Unfortunately, we were never able to locate their owners. Sadie has a bouncier personality than Daisy since she is a little younger. Sadie is housebroken, crate trained and knows how to use a doggie door. She is doing OK on the leash but needs a bit more training to be the perfect dog. Sadie and Daisy are very bonded and need to be adopted together. No exceptions.

Remi

Status: Available for Adoption

Remi is 1 year old and weighs 45 pounds. This beautiful boy was rescued from a shelter because he was scared. Since coming to rescue, Remi has blossomed. He really likes all the people he has met. However, he does not seem to be fond of other dogs so will do best as the only dog in the family. He has not been around cats to our knowledge. Remi is young and active so would do best in a home where he can get lot of exercise and playtime.

Thor

Status: Available for Adoption

Thor is 2 years old and weighs 11 pounds. When we rescued Thor out of a shelter, he had a horrible case of démodéx mange, as you can see from one of his pictures. It has taken awhile, but most of his missing hair is back! His skin was very damaged and some of his hair may not grow back. But there is some fuzz on his bare skin so it looks like some hair is still trying to grow back. Now that he is feeling better, we see the real Thor. This little guy is loving to everyone, both adults and children. He is ok with dogs but is selective when it comes to his dog friends. He also has a playful, energetic personality so be prepared to spend time playing with him!

Bob

Status: Available for Adoption

Hey! I’m Bob and I’m one year old. I’m an English Bulldog and I weigh 55Ibs.  I’m gonna be straight up with you all; I have a spinal abnormality that has caused me to lose the use of my hind legs. As a result, I’m incontinent but I do great in doggie diapers when on the move. But you know what is super cool?  I recently got a doggie wheelchair and I’m loving it… I’m active now, like a champ. I might start the doggie special Olympics 😉 Despite some of my challenges, I love snuggling, napping, and curling up listening to music with my foster parents. I especially love scratches behind the ears and on my chest. I’ve met so many people recently and the other day someone told me I was a professional heart stealer. I know that I need to find a home that will understand my disability and be patient with me. In return, I will be super affectionate and make you smile every day.

Scooby Ace

Status: Available for Adoption

My name is Ace. Basically, I want a daily belly rub and as much petting as your arm can take. I’m very social, and I love everybody that walks through the door – assuming they’re kind. I’m very polite to other dogs, except small dogs and cats. But I do walk very well on a leash.

Misti Blue

Status: Available for Adoption

I’m Misti Blue, and I’m a Dalmatian-Lab mix.  I’m only about 2 years old, and I would love a new home.  I’ve been in boarding a long time because so few people want to give me a chance.  You see, I’m deaf.  I am really loving, and smart, and I am happy to learn sign language with you.  I am afraid of other dogs, but I think people are great!

Farrah Grace

Status: Available for Adoption

Hi, my name is Farrah Grace I’m a sweet 12 year old girl who came in as a sad stray. Since then she’s gotten more spring in her step and trots on her walks. She has the biggest smile when she opens her mouth. She loves looking at squirrels and sleeping. She needs a soft pillow to rest her head on and a loving home before she crosses over.  Farrah Grace is in SoCal.

Stiffler

Status: Available for Adoption

Hi my name is Stiffler.

Stiffler is looking for a foster OR his furever family in So Cal! He’s 6 years old, he’s good with other dogs, good with cats and LOVES petting. He’s 104 pounds and thinks he’s a lap dog so be warned! He’s so sweet and a gentle giant with some professional training but not good with young children. It will dampen his beautiful spirit. He’s currently boarded in San Diego. Please reach out if you’re interested in meeting this sweet boy!

Stiffler, or Stiffy as we like to call him, is the most gentle giant I have ever met. He is so calm and caring. He is a serene presence in the home and we expect him to open up more and more. Stiffy is a HUNK!
